Launched in November -93 is for film - buffs. The Film club collaborates with several Cine Clubs to show some good movies to its members. The club also collaborate with the Govt. of West Bengal to organise the Kolkata International Film Festival held every year in the city.
The Film Club was inaugurated by the noted Film director Sri Mrinal Sen. Since then it has given its members the opportunity to watch several kinds of films both Indian and international. Several film personaties, film critics, directors etc. have participated in seminars, talk shows, and in special screenings, organised by AKS Film Club.
